Which quality tests should accompany a cable cleat shipment?
At minimum: short-circuit withstand test; axial and lateral load test; salt spray 720 h; UV ageing on the polymer body. Type-test certificates qualify the design; ask additionally for per-batch routine records, which are what tell you what actually shipped.
What goes wrong in the field with cheap cable cleat?
The recurring failure modes are: cleat failing under fault current; insert damaging the cable sheath. None of them are visible at goods-in, which is why the specification and the batch records matter more than the sample.
