The Chinese platform behind this site

This English library and the Chinese site at 58eggs.com are two halves of the same platform. The English side is the reference library: specifications, price drivers, inspection checklists, supplier questions, and a directory of 62 industry categories. The Chinese side is where the trade actually happens: suppliers publish products and prices, and buyers post requirements.

You do not need to read Chinese to buy through us. Two routes work, and you can pick either one.

Two ways to buy

1. Send us a quotation request in English. Write the specification — product, quantity, material or grade, standard, packing — and we take it to the manufacturers in the relevant cluster and come back with comparable quotations. No account, no Chinese, no platform fee to read anything. Start at Request a quote.
2. Go into the Chinese platform yourself. If you read Chinese, or if you are willing to work with the translator in the top bar, every section of the live platform is open to you. The eight sections are described below, each with a direct link.

Hebei manufacturing is organised by county, not by city — Anping makes wire mesh, Yongnian makes fasteners, Botou makes castings. Around 200 clusters, each specialising in a narrow product range.

Why the two sites are separate

Because the two audiences need opposite things. A Chinese buyer wants a transaction front-end in their own language, with accounts, posting and messaging. An international buyer wants to understand a product and a supplier before committing — specifications, tolerances, coating thickness, what to inspect — and wants an enquiry path in English. Mixing the two produces a site that serves neither: machine-translated navigation on one side, half-empty English sections on the other.

So the split is deliberate. English here, trade there, and a quotation route in English that connects them.
