Coastal runs, chemical plants and anywhere the network operator has already had to replace galvanised hooks early. Elsewhere a good hot-dipped carbon-steel hook outlives the cable.

Ordering questions

What is the typical minimum order and lead time for drop cable hook?

The usual minimum is 5,000 pcs — wire-formed parts are cheap per piece but each size needs its own bending setup, and repeat specifications run 12–20 days. First orders with new tooling or custom colours sit at the long end of that range; stock configurations sit at the short end.

How should drop cable hook be packed for export?

500 pcs per carton, 20,000 pcs per pallet loose in bags. If your shipment routes through humid climates or long storage, say so in the RFQ — packing upgrades are cheap at the factory and expensive as a claim.

Which quality tests should accompany a drop cable hook shipment?

At minimum: coating mass per ASTM A153; proof load to 2× working load; thread or point engagement check; salt spray 240 h. Type-test certificates qualify the design; ask additionally for per-batch routine records, which are what tell you what actually shipped.
